Welcome to The Berean, a theological discernment tool provided by FaithGuard. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

The Berean provides AI-powered theological analysis to help users identify potential concerns in content they submit. Our analysis is based on The Berean Standard, a 28-point framework grounded in historic Christian orthodoxy.

This tool is meant to assist your discernment, not replace it. We encourage users to study Scripture directly and consult with their pastor, elder, or mature believers for guidance.

2. Account Terms

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may not share your login credentials or allow others to access your account. Each subscription is for individual use unless otherwise specified.

3. Subscription and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Fair Use Policy

Our Scholar tier provides 1,000 analyses per month for personal study, teaching preparation, and ministry use. This is intended for individual use and small group ministry contexts.

Fair use does not include:

Reselling or redistributing analyses
Automated bulk processing or API abuse
Commercial use beyond personal ministry
Sharing accounts across large teams or institutions

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any illegal purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract our analysis algorithms
Submit content that violates third-party rights
Interfere with or disrupt the service
Use automated tools to access the service without permission

5. Intellectual Property

The Berean's analysis methodology, theological charter, and user interface are the property of FaithGuard. You retain ownership of content you submit for analysis.

6. Disclaimer

The Berean is a tool to assist theological discernment. Our analyses are not infallible and should not be considered authoritative theological rulings. We encourage users to verify findings against Scripture and seek counsel from qualified spiritual leaders.

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

7. Limitation of Liability

FaithGuard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
